This website is operated by Salvesen Mindroom Centre and whose registered address is Salvesen Mindroom Centre, Suite 4/3, Great Michael House, 14 Links Place, Edinburgh, EH6 7EZ.
Salvesen Mindroom Centre is a recognised Scottish charity SC030472, and a company limited by guarantee and registered in Scotland SC 209656.
We are a data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Data Protection Act (2018).

Due to the nature of our work, you may share your personal experiences or that of a child/young person with us. If this is case, no matter how we receive sensitive personal information (by telephone, email, face-to-face or other), we will treat it with extra care, confidentiality and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We will only use this information:

Information about Children and Young People
Wherever possible, we will ask for consent from parents to collect information about anyone under 16 years of age. This may be if they volunteer to fundraise for us, join events or share their stories for our case studies.

We aim to process the minimum amount of your personal information to fulfil our obligations. If you do not agree to us processing your personal data, we may not be able to provide you with the services, support or information you have requested.
If you contact our Direct Help and Advice services, we will not process your personal information other than for the purposes of providing you with advice.
We may collect your information in a number of ways when you interact with us, including:

When you visit our website

MailChimp
We use MailChimp to deliver our email newsletter. When signing up, your email address and further details are stored by MailChimp who use this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. They will not use this data to contact newsletter recipients personally or forward details to third parties.

How long we retain your data
We will keep your personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services or resources to you. We endeavour to keep your personal information up to date, but if you think that we are holding information which is inaccurate or you are otherwise unhappy about Salvesen Mindroom Centre’s use of your personal information, please let us know by sending an email to admin@mindroom.org.
The personal information that the Salvesen Mindroom Centre collects from you may be transferred to and stored at a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and it may be processed outside the EEA by the staff of the Salvesen Mindroom Centre’s suppliers.
