Welcome to Mindroom
A charity dedicated to helping children and adults with learning difficulties
Why?
Did you know that there are at least 5 children in every class in Scotland with some form of learning difficulty who will then grow into adults with learning difficulties?
Who?
Whether you are a child, a parent, a relative, a teacher or any other professional, it doesn't matter. It's for you.
What?
We can give you information and advice on things like support at school, home teaching, local groups, placing requests, assessments, behaviour, self esteem and what happens at 16.
How?
At Mindroom we provide one to one support, advice for families and training for professionals. Our goal is to create such awareness that, by the year 2020, all children and adults in this country with learning difficulties will receive the recognition and help they need.
We will achieve this by:
- Providing direct help and support
- Arranging high profile conferences
- Setting up multi-disciplinary diagnostic centres

Don't miss the chance to hear from the world's leading experts within the field of social communication and learning difficulties.
This extraordinary conference Social Brain 3 - No Mind Left Behind is on 29-30 March 2011 at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Given the success of Social Brain 2 - See the Bigger Picture - Professor Christopher Gillberg and Mindroom have decided to organise another joint conference. More than 50 of the world's leading experts within the field of social communication and learning difficulties will be speaking at the event.
Quite simply, we are bringing together science and medicine, health and education, and theory and practice over two very exciting days.
