What are the pathways for neurodivergent students leaving school and going on to college or university in Scotland? Unfortunately, the picture is not all that clear: there appear to be many more school pupils with additional support needs than there are college/university students with a declared disability. This is an issue we are keen to explore and understand better.

In our latest policy briefing and explanatory report, we outline some of the key issues surrounding neurodiversity, mental health and disability for further and higher education students in Scotland. We identify some important gaps and areas for further investigation. We will be following up on this work in coming months, as we continue to campaign for better opportunities for neurodivergent children and young people in Scotland and more widely.
