Real life – real stories
We work with lots of children, young people and their parents. Here are a few of their stories. We’ve changed the names of everyone, including staff, to protect their identities.
Claire’s story
Claire has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder). Her dad, Tim, contacted us as he was worried about her transition into the mainstream school environment.
Aahil’s Story
Aahil is 16 and has been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). His mum, Aisha, came to us as she felt her son wasn’t being understood or getting the right support in school.
Ash’s Story
Ash was unable to attend school due to anxiety and was receiving no educational input. While they had an allocated CAMHS worker, they were not receiving any direct support.
