Children and Young People Outreach Specialist Vacancy
Salary: £25,290 pro rata. 28 hours per week, fixed term contract for 12 months.
Location: Hybrid: Providing support to children and young people across East Lothian. This post will involve travel across East Lothian, and a blend of working from home and our Edinburgh office.
We are looking for an experienced children and young people’s worker to join our team.
Our highly experienced outreach team works throughout Scotland, engaging with children and young people, families and the professionals in schools, social work, justice, and health to ensure that we really are getting it right for every child.
This is an exciting new role within Salvesen Mindroom Centre, establishing and delivering a new project for children and young people across East Lothian, working in partnership with NHS Lothian. The postholder will provide individualised support to neurodivergent children and young people who have undergone assessment for neurodevelopmental conditions.
The postholder will be required to work 28 hours per week flexibly to meet the needs of children and young people. They will provide 1:1 support for children and young people in person and using technology. The role may include very infrequent evening or weekend working. There is a flexible working policy in place and a TOIL policy for evening or weekend working.
