Neurodiversity is everywhere: it is part of the human condition and in SMC we recognise that ‘it takes all kinds of minds.’ But how do we understand some of the better-known conditions that we associate with neurodiversity?

Working with our partners at the Salvesen Mindroom Research Centre (SMRC) at the University of Edinburgh, we have just published a series of research briefings where you can find out more about how the scientific and academic understanding of neurodiversity is developing. We also consider what practical supports might work best. Whether you want to deepen your existing knowledge, learn of future research directions, or perhaps challenge your own preconceptions, the research briefings are available for you now.
